Project:
Google Onboarding Toolkit
Project Overview:
I was tasked with creating an onboarding toolkit for Google. This project was an exciting opportunity to innovate within the globally recognized Material Design 3 system and enhance Google's existing internal onboarding experience in a way that aligns with Google’s mission to organize the world’s information and make it universally accessible and useful.
Challenge:
While the original campaign catered exclusively to Developing Managers, the updated initiative sought to expand its reach to encompass Design Managers. The challenge was to create adaptable, engaging assets that bridged the differing workflows of these departments, while fostering a sense of alignment and shared purpose across teams.

Approach:
My goal was to craft a narrative that celebrated collaboration between development and design teams while embodying Google's mission to make information universally accessible. To achieve this, I designed the toolkit rooted in UX principles for enhanced content engagement. The toolkit contained interactive icons, animated illustrations, responsive graphics, and user-friendly navigation elements.
Outcome:
The visuals were designed as functional wayfinding tools to guide managers through their onboarding journey. By leveraging consistent iconography and purposeful motion cues, these assets simplified navigation, reduced friction and cognitive load, and ensured easy access to essential resources. Animations added depth by reinforcing key company values, creating a structured and engaging flow throughout the onboarding experience.
The refreshed campaign successfully met the objective of broadening its focus to both Developing and Design Managers, resulting in a smoother, more cohesive onboarding experience. Internal feedback highlighted the positive impact of the new onboarding toolkit.
